Proposition E – Allow Changes to Police Staffing

San Francisco

Currently, San Francisco must hire and budget for a minimum number of police officers, regardless of whether they’re needed or not. This measure removes that requirement, and allows us to budget based on what the people need. It means that the City can make police staffing changes in order to increase resources for social workers and mental healthcare.
