Cindy Chavez

Cindy Chavez is a longtime labor and community ally with a history of partnering with grassroots organizations that represent working families and has a proven track record of legislating in line with her values and getting things done. She has championed affordable housing, increased access to healthcare, worked to decrease recidivism statewide, and has continually been an advocate for workers and children across San Jose. Cindy is a model of what can happen when labor, community groups, and legislators work in partnership to build thriving communities.
