Public education is on the ballot. With public budgets already stretched thin, and the costs of remote learning and safely providing in-person instruction, funding our schools is more important than ever. This measure would issue $1200 million in bonds to fund student technology, campus emergency preparedness, and school repairs. While we wish the wealthiest corporations would fund this instead of relying on fragmented property taxes and bonds, passing this measure will benefit students and the entire community.
We can fully and reliably fund our schools, emergency and safety net services, and the prosperity of all communities globally. In fact, these resources are nothing more than pocket change for millionaires, billionaires, and large corporations. Therefore, we must support justice and equal taxation to ensure our children, regardless of appearance or origin, receive quality public education and public resources. Finally, we urge you to support California Proposition 15, which will reclaim $12 billion annually from the wealthiest corporations to fund schools and local community services.
