Tamisha Torres-Walker

Bay Rising Action is supporting Tamisha Torres-Walker for re-election for Antioch City Council, District 1. Tamisha worked tirelessly to secure almost $2 million from the California Violence Intervention and Prevention Program to help reduce and prevent gun violence in Antioch. Tamisha also secured $300,000 in juvenile justice crime prevention act funds as part of an effort to ensure our young people have a safe and secure future in Antioch. She has helped save local businesses from shuttering their doors during the pandemic while also serving Antioch’s most vulnerable communities. More recently, Tamisha successfully championed the rent control ordinance in the city of Antioch, securing affordable housing for people living in Antioch.
