Eduardo Martinez

Richmond Mayor

Eduardo Martinez has spent more than seven years on Richmond City Council advocating for stricter environmental protections, diverting public money from jails and incarceration to public services, increasing the minimum wage, passing rent stabilization, and creating a stronger police review process. Eduardo is running on a people-focused platform. From transitioning from petrochemicals to renewables, to fully staffing city services, and developing public banking in Richmond, Eduardo’s priorities always reflect what is best for the people of Richmond, not for the corporations looking to move in or expand their reach. He’s made this clear through his refusal of corporate money and his willingness to work with community organizations across the city. Bay Rising Action is proud to endorse Eduardo and looks forward to working with him to fight for a better, more sustainable, future in Richmond.
